The recommended age for visiting a pediatrician is soon after birth, three to five days following birth, and then at one, two, four, six, nine, twelve, fifteen, eighteen, twenty-four, thirty, and thirty-six months of age. An annual health checkup is then recommended up until 21 years of age.
