Dr. Milan Jolapara have done three years of residency in MD Radiology in Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad which is tertiary zonal reference centre, providing healthcare to patients from all parts of Gujarat and adjacent states. Here he was exposed to X-rays, Barium studies, Intravenous Urography, Sonography, Doppler, CT scan, MRI, Mammography and Orthopantogram. Their also have intervention unit were he learned and did first handedly following procedures under expert guidance-
Then he worked for one year as a consultant radiologist in a private diagnostic centre, which was well equipped with Digital X-ray, Sonography, Doppler, CT scan, MRI, Mammography and Orthopantogram. Here he used to independently handle all these modalities. Here he also did USG and CT guided biopsies and aspirations.
He has done a three year residency in DM Neuroimaging and Interventional Neuroradiology at Sree Chitra Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, Kerala; an institute of National importance, functioning under the guidelines of the Department of Science and Technology, India.
He has done six months fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology Department, K.E.M. Hosptial, Mumbai. Here he was exposed to the management of all kinds of neuro interventions including management of aneurysms and vasospasm; brain and spinal arterio-venous shunts and dural arterio-venous shunts; carotid-cavernous fistulas; acute stroke both arterial and venous; carotid and vertebral stenting; intracranial angioplasty and stenting; head and neck tumour embolization; embolization of head and neck arterio-venous malformations, veno-lymphatic malformations and hemangiomas.
Since, last ten years he was working as a consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist and Peripheral Vascular Interventionist at all major hospitals in Ahmedabad, Anand and Baroda. Here he has successfully done more than 15,000 different neuro and peripheral interventions.
